Candidate for Phase I

As a permanent resident in Red Pine E-7, I am running for our condo Board on a pledge of transparency and owner involvement to improve our association. I have the relevant experience to strategically evaluate our needs, plan for the future of our property and to foster and value owner communication.

Residential Board Experience

I have served on three residential Boards for buildings older than Red Pine:

·         Parc Fifteen, 210 E 15th Street NYC, 188 units built in 1963

·         Sans Souci, 999 Ft Pickens Rd, Pensacola Beach, FL, 63 units built in 1975

·         The Linville, 116 6th Street NE, WDC 18 units, built in 1915

My condo/co-op Board service included complicated insurance and government regulation in NYC and Washington, DC and the reconstruction and maintenance challenges of a FL Gulf Coast condo destroyed multiple times by hurricanes.

I have been a long-term landlord and holiday rentals owner which also gives me an appreciation for rental unit issues and priorities. Gut renovating 2 homes and 4 condos, including my Red Pine unit, has provided me with experience in creative problem solving and directly working with contractors at the unit level as well.

Professional Experience

We greatly need improved communication between our Red Pine Board and Owners. I am a retired Public Relations executive with 30 years of management experience in corporate and consumer communications, governmental affairs and non-profit organizations. I have helped over 50 top brands communicate more effectively with their target audience. P&G, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, Citibank, Henkel, Pernod Ricard, and E&J Gallo have all trusted me to craft and execute strategic communications plans for their beloved brands.

Working in New York City, Washington, DC and Singapore, I have managed multi-million-dollar budgets and recruited, trained and motivated large teams to achieve impressive results. In short, I know how to evaluate options, problem solve, set strategic goals, achieve consensus, communicate plans and execute programs.

I will use my professional skills in strategic planning and communication and previous Board service learnings to create a more inclusive and active community of owners at Red Pine. Through recent outreach, it has come to my attention that we have owners willing to contribute their professional knowledge in contracting, pool and spa installation, finance and legal talents. We need open lines of communication to help us better evaluate our property needs, hire top talent, plan, and increase our level of transparency and fiscal responsibility.
